COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course brings to students the knowledge and understanding of marriage and family living from biblical standpoint. It exposes students to contemporary issues facing marriage and family and presents answers from the bible. Students are expected to use the knowledge gained to develop godly marriages and Christ-centered families. The course will further equip students to teach others and help them achieve same.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Articulate an understanding of the biblical foundation for a Christian marriage.
- Describe the biblical view of gender roles in marriage and family.
- Understand the unique differences between male and female genders.
- Explain ways of dealing with conflicts in marriage and family.
- Analyze the various challenges to marriage and family.
- Articulate answers from the bible to handle the challenges in marriage and family.
- Explain the biblical ways of training children.
- Understand the call to singlehood and its responsibility.
- Explain the partnership role of a wife to her husband in ministry.
